What is this and what is going on?
Hey fellow Booth Partners and whoever else is reading this!
Thank you so very much for clicking the link that brought you to our first ever "The Life of a Booth Partner" blog post! My name is Sura Karralli Giuffreda and I am the new Vice President of Marketing for the University of Chicago MBA Booth Partner Club.
I want to express how excited I am to hold this position, not only because I wanted to get heavily involved in the club, but also because I wanted to try out Marketing for the first time in my life. Yes. I know. You are probably asking yourself, "Why did this chick decide to become a VP at her first run at marketing?!?!?"
Well, the answer is simple. I wanted to.
I am so grateful to be a part of such a fun, welcoming group of people who are all in this temporary life hiatus, that is MBA school, together. We all moved to Chicago for the same reason- to support our Boothie while they go through a life altering journey. While they are doing that, we are on the other side of things- in a new environment, with new people and, in my case, searching for a new career. This blog will cover all the ins and outs of what life is like as a supporter of our Boothies- whether you're the sole financial provider, international student, parent of a little one, etc.
Blogging has taken the world by storm over the last decade and I feel that it is time for Booth Partners Club to have a voice. We are saying goodbye to the boring newsletter and hello to my attempt to disguise my terrible grammar.
For the time being, I will be the sole creator of any posts, however, my intention is to have fellow members, who want to take a stab at expressing themselves, chime in every once in a while with what is on their minds. It could be related to various interests such as Cooking, Traveling, or even a gab session on The Bachelorette-- which I am going to tell you right now, thats my favorite kind of content.
